I've gotten a lot of curiosities about my recent training, so just poppin' in to give some background on what ancestral healing can be and why I decided to become a facilitator this past year.
Ancestral healing means going into the root of your lineages to uncover, discover, and open up to blockages, wisdom, and gifts that could be hiding in your body and soul memory, waiting to be unraveled and utilized.
If there's a specific behavior pattern or thought loop that consistently comes back in your life, yet you have no idea where it started, this might be pertaining to you. This could also be something that you heard or watched happen growing up in your direct family (like "money doesn't grow on trees" says your tutu) that gets passed down more consciously. Some are obvious, and some more complex. Such is life!
I had some of these patterns in my own relationships that I knew needed to be dissolved at a deeper level, and as I started to family plan, it became evident that this was the perfect time to do so. If not now, then when? What would be the point of waiting?
So, Torie invited me into her first cohort, which included other diviners from across the world - East coast, Columbia, Ireland, etc. We were lucky to meet weekly for about 8+ months while having individual and partner practice sessions and assignments to deeply integrate the teachings and methods. With my background in nervous system fitness, meditation and subconscious work, I thought this would be another breezy training. But I will tell you - this work goes DEEP!
Some of the longest integration periods and purges came through this training. Patterns I didn't know were there came up and dissolved. I began to feel more connected to the earth's ways, the directions of the winds, the rustles of the flower petals...and my Self more than ever. It has been extremely grounding and uplifting and words still do not describe the transformation fully.
I joined this training to help prepare for motherhood, and boy did that work xD
Looking back, now at 6 months hapai, it was such an honor to complete this training as we got news of our new baby boy entering our family - one I had dreamt about since last year and first knew I was pregnant with during a dream message, too. (More on dreams another time :)
If I could transfer even a bit of the magic behind this year to you all, I'd love to do so.
If you're someone who's ready to learn more about what this work could open up for you, reply to this email with "ancestry" and you'll get first pick when sessions start to open soon.
And if you're just wanting to connect with your lineage on your own first? Here's some things I'd suggest:
- Start mentioning your family - living or passed - in casual conversations, keeping their spirits alive
- Set up an altar with family crests, memoirs, photos, or heirlooms and start adding energy to it daily (or at least weekly)
- Ask your kupuna/elders to share their stories with you (ie. what were you up to when you were my age, grandpa?)
- Bring flowers, a beverage, or other offerings home to your family and altars
- Journal for 5 minutes on why you feel you're here on earth at this time, what your purpose is, and what you can do today to become more of that.
Stay well-loved and rested everybody ~
xx,
Aiko
